Review by hotel critic
During my recent visit to Düsseldorf, I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Rubin, nestled in the charming Friedrichstadt district. This cozy gem struck a beautiful balance between comfort and affordability, making it perfect for my wanderings around the city. The spacious room offered a peaceful retreat after a long day of exploring, with a lovely seating area and a view that I could have gazed at for hours. The breakfast buffet was a delightful start to each day; the variety catered to both sweet and savory cravings—a must for a photographer like me who needs an energy boost for capturing landscapes. With the Morsestraße Tram Stop just a minute away and the Dusseldorf International Airport a mere 8km from the hotel, accessibility was a breeze. The friendly staff went above and beyond, ensuring a warm welcome and even providing an electric kettle for my afternoon tea. All in all, I found Hotel Rubin to be not only a great value but also a lovely base from which to explore the vibrant heart of Düsseldorf. I can't wait to return!
